1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClassVault, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any additional policies or guidelines referenced here. If you use ClassVault on behalf of an institution, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for that institution and its deployment.

2. Description of Service

ClassVault is an educational collaboration platform designed to support class communication, file sharing, assignments, announcements, attendance, and related academic workflows.

The service may be used by teachers, students, institutions, administrators, and other authorized education stakeholders according to the features, permissions, and subscription level applicable to their account or organization.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 13 years old, or use the platform with appropriate parental, school, or legal consent where required.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
  • Each person must maintain only one account unless explicitly permitted by ClassVault or their institution.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform. In particular, you must not:

  • Upload, share, or distribute illegal, harmful, infringing, or inappropriate content.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or attempt to disrupt educational environments on the platform.
  • Attempt to access, scrape, or interfere with data belonging to other users, classes, or institutions without authorization.
  • Use ClassVault for commercial exploitation or resale unless covered by a commercial or enterprise agreement.

5. Content You Upload

You retain ownership of content you upload to ClassVault, subject to any rights held by your institution or applicable law.

By uploading content, you grant ClassVault a limited license to host, process, store, and serve that content to authorized users as needed to operate the service.

We may remove or restrict access to content that violates these terms, applicable law, or platform safety requirements.

6. AI Features

Optional AI features, when enabled, are provided on an as-is basis and may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate output.

  • AI-generated content should be reviewed before use in academic or institutional settings.
  • Users should not input personally identifiable student information into AI prompts unless their institution has explicitly approved such use and applicable law permits it.

7. Payment and Subscription

ClassVault may offer a free tier for eligible users. Institution and enterprise plans are provided according to separate quotes, subscription terms, or commercial agreements.

Refund terms, billing schedules, and commercial commitments are handled according to the agreement that applies to the relevant plan or institution deployment.

8. Termination

You may stop using ClassVault or request account closure at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security risks, fail to comply with institutional requirements, or misuse the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassVault is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, including loss of data, interruption of operations, or reliance on user- or AI-generated content.

10. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, the parties agree to attempt a good-faith resolution through direct communication first. Additional dispute procedures, if any, may be governed by the applicable institution or commercial agreement.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or product operations. Material changes may be communicated through the platform, email, or another reasonable notice channel before they take effect.
